Christophe Abadie is a painter and a drawer; he graduated from the Beaux-Arts of Paris (congratulations from the jury). He lives and works in Paris, where he exhibits regularly, along with other major French cities such as Bordeaux and Strasbourg. His paintings are also shown in Europe (Ghent, The Hague, Antwerp), and recently, in Russia, at the Saint Petersburg Museum of 20th and 21st Century Art.
His painting is figurative, but not narrative. He does not tell stories, contenting himself, in his own words, "to put elements in tension". The painting becomes a mirror where everyone brings their own story ...
His technical mastery combined with a foundational sense of experimentation brings constant renewal to his pictorial practice: “each work must be an adventure, with maximum risk-taking, far from a comfortable craft ... The goal is that there is a thrill, a spark ...”
